I am at the office before 8am
I was supposed to have a conference call with someone in Germany in preparation for an upcoming trip. Yes, it’s a holiday…but it’s not there. I almost brought it up so that it could be moved, but I felt like it was just easier to get it done. I thought, “I can always nap after, right?”

Welp…I’m here…and it’s been cancelled.

Might as well get some sewing done….

Just replied to an email from my gmail account on an Ipad while sitting at Caribou Coffee working on a project.
I guess now I should go to Wal-Mart and let some redneck kick my ass.

I mix some wet food with Murphy's regular food on Saturdays before dinner. As he ate, I opened up a can of Corned Beef for my dinner.

I looked at my dinner. 

I looked at Murphy's. 

I smelled mine. 

I smelled his.....

I made a grilled cheese with sprouts.

I typed up this long and really nice story about how I used to be afraid of a window screen because it looked like an owl in the light of the moon, then realized no one really wants to hear about that crap.

 And deleted it.

Stopped by the office after being away for a week. Smells like

It really didn't take me that long to build it. I just forgot to post before taking off to Commerce for Mother's Day. 

1: Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed? I don’t have closet doors. Victorian homes didn’t come with them. Wardrobe,yes.

As I watched my old flag being retired this afternoon at the local VFW, I smiled as I remembered all the past  events that I have seen and made me proud to be an American during the past year under that waving banner.

I watched the SpaceX launch from a laptop on the front porch.
I read about the confirmation of the Higgs Boson particle being proven at CERN.
All the times I weeded the front flower beds with her waving above me keeping me out of the blistering sun.
I looked through my telescope at Mars, far off in the night sky, as Americans landed on the surface with the rover.
I worked on homework for the first time in quite a while as she shaded me.
I opened a letter from my school saying that I had made all A’s.
My father and I sat had a real conversation, that lasted for more than 3 minutes for the first time since my mother passed.
So..as I stood at attention in my freshly pressed dress uniform along side of the rest of the VFW, all these wonderful memories passed through my head. I love this flag. I love all that it stands for. I may not like the leaders of the country at the moment. But like everything else, they will pass.
The flag will still be there.

Ordered chicken strips and a waffle.
Found they were out of chicken strips 15 minutes later. Waited another 10 and the waitress tells me that the waffle maker is on the fritz.

Coffee and a pancake for me.
